Bay City, Mich., April 30— At a special meeting of the board of education held Saturday noon, the completed plans for the new junior high school on the west side were adopted as submitted by the architects, all five members of the board present voting for such action.
It was also decided to change the name of the new building from Western Junior high school to the T. L. Handy Junior high school, thus honoring the man who donated the site for the new building.
The clerk of the board was instructed to advertise for bids for the mechanical equipment of the school, all bids to be in the hands of the board not later than noon on May 20.
