Darrell Alan LaRocque took the Hand of God and entered the Gates of Heaven on May 6, 2018. He was greeted by his parents Mim & Pip, sisters Nancy Kula Gordon & Judy Wetmore, and half-brother Eugene LaRocque.
A special Celebration of Life event will be held on June 2, 2018 at Rivertown Funeral Home in Kawkawlin from noon until 2pm. As a Vietnam veteran, a special Military tribute will be included. Darrell graduated from T.L. Handy High in 1963.
Family & friends will then meet at 3pm at the Turkey Roost restaurant, Darrell’s favorite.
In his retirement years, after working at Saginaw Steering Gear, Darrell loved to fish as we all know, and spend quality time with his family. We will never, ever forget how much he loved all of us.
Darrell lived a very full life with his family which includes his children Chadwick (& fiancé Anna Waddle) LaRocque; Lisa (& John) Escobedo; Melanie (& Tyler) Bonyman; & Todd (& Michelle) LaRocque. Special stepdaughters are Shiela Marie Vance & Shonda Tolliver.
Much loved grandchildren include Trevor LaRocque; Jessica Escobedo( & fiance Daniel Alvarado), Peter (& Sasha Martinez) Escobedo III; Zack, Ashlyn & Gavin Bonyman; Travis (& family), Hailey (& family) & Brayden LaRocque. Also in Darrell’s heart are Miles, Savanna, & Devin.
Darrell was also blessed with 7 great-grandchildren: Marcus, Alianna, Paris, Licia & Pierre IV Escobedo, Bentley LaRocque & Kylah Wrenn.
Big brother Mike LaRocque had a very special place in Darrell’s heart. So did very special friend & champion Debra Taylor. He loved them to the end.
Also are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
And so: Dad, Grandpa, Great-grandpa, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Friend – we will meet again – in Heaven.
