Emilie Charlotte (Richter) Sinicki, age 84, passed away peacefully in the morning hours of Friday, July 16, 2021 at the Close to Home Assisted Living Facility in Bay City, Michigan. Emilie was born on May 7, 1937 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Wilbur and Emma (Fischer) Richter. Emilie graduated from T.L. Handy High School and on June 25, 1955 married the love of her life Donald A. Sinicki and together they raised two sons and a daughter. Don preceded her in death in August of 1982.
Emilie was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church where Don and her had faithfully attended while raising their family. She was strong in her faith and believed that marital vows were meant for a lifetime, and proudly stayed true to them until the end. Her children cherished her beliefs and the advice, support and comfort she would generously offer. During her early-married years, she spent her days caring for her home and family, they spent their free time camping, swimming and snowmobiling with friends and family during the colder months.
Emilie leaves behind her daughter, Bonnie (Richard) Parker, her son Glenn (Brenda) Sinicki; Five grandchildren, Brooke Sinicki (Eric Biskner)Chad (Carrie) Sinicki, Courtney (Joel) Woods, Brett (Victoria Sisson) Parker and Crystal Sinicki Fulco; five great grandchildren, McKenzie, Alyssa, Jaycee, Jillian Sinicki, and Adriana Garcia. She also leaves behind one sister, Kay Krager and several nieces and nephews. Emilie will be happily reunited with her husband Donald A. Sinicki, her son Gregory Sinicki, her parents Wilber and Emma Richter, sister Joyce (John) Goyett and brother in law Larry Krager.
Emilie enjoyed reading her Bible, inspirational stories and books, and her crossword puzzles. She will be remembered by those she loved as Mom, Grandma, Sister, and Nana. Emilie had a great sense of humor, an unfailing smile and uplifting spirit. With her many joys in life nothing brought her more joy than her family. They meant the world to her. She will be remembered fondly by them for her much loved maraschino cherry cookies, her chocolate chip macaroons, her beef barley soup her generous supply of Kimmel, a recipe passed down through her family for years. Last but not least her never ending snack supply atop her fridge, and her end table of dishes filled with m&m’s and butter mints.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Vincent De Paul Church, 2956 E. North Union Rd, Bay City, on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:00.The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service. A private Family Rite of Committal and Inurnment will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery.
