Gregory P. Pacholke, of Bay City, passed away early Wednesday morning April 4, 2012 at Brian’s House, age 58. He was born February 17, 1954 in Bay City. Greg was a 1972 graduate of T.L. Handy High School and was retired from Kroger of Bay City. He was member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church and was an organist at the church’s he attended for over 30 years. Greg was a local musician and entertained, most often with the band Trend, at many local establishments including the Bay City Country Club and the Regal House. He was an avid Tiger’s fan. Greg enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his son, Zachary.
Mr. Pacholke is survived by his son, Zachary Pacholke and his mother, Diane (Revette) Pacholke, both of Bay City; his mother, Norma “Jean” Pacholke of Kawkawlin; two sisters, Connie (John) Burk of Bay City and Cindy Tews of Kawkawlin; six nephews, Johnny Burk, Matthew (Cherie) Burk, Andrew (Rachael) Burk, Steven Tews, Brett (Sabrina) Tews and Dustin Tews; many members of the Revette Family; and several aunts, uncles, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins & friends. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Richard O. Pacholke; a brother-in-law, Steve Tews; one great-niece; and his grandparents, Otto & Elsie Pacholke and Peter & Grace Block.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Friday April 6, 2012 at St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church, 997 Beaver Rd., Kawkawlin. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Seafert. Private interment will be in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 to 9:00pm. Mr. Pacholke will lie instate at the church on Friday from 10:00am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
