Mark R. Brown “Uncle Mark” , Our loving son, brother and uncle entered the Kingdom of God Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Covenant-Cooper due to complications after a heart surgery, age 46 years. The son of Raymond and Kathleen (Rinz) Brown he was born March 2, 1968 in Bay City. Mark graduated from TL Handy High School in 1986 and then attended Delta College. He was employed with McDonald’s for over 20 years and Bob Evan’s for 8 years. Mark was currently the General Manager of Popeye’s and was looking forward to opening their new store in Mt. Pleasant this October. He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish-St. Hedwig Church and the Chamber of Commerce on Mt. Pleasant. He enjoyed traveling and taking vacations, trips up-north and tried his luck at the casinos. Mark loved playing the piano, music and most importantly his family, especially his niece, Meghan and nephew, Nolan.
Surviving is his mother, Kathy Brown, one sister, Mary Jo (Jeffrey) Zalucha, niece and nephew, Meghan and Nolan Zalucha and his dear friends: Kelly Zurvalec, Amy Stuber and Sheri Felske. Mark was predeceased by his father, Raymond G. “Sonny” Brown and his grandparents: Al and Betty “Busia” Rinz and Helen and George Brown.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 19, 2014 at 10:00am at Corpus Christi Parish-St.Hedwig Church. Fr. Kevin Kerbawy will celebrate Mass and interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Thursday from 1:00 to 8:00pm and at church on Friday after 9:00am. A Parish Vigil Service for Mark will be held Thursday at 7:00pm. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Heart Association or a charity of donor’s choice.
