Mary Martha (Knopp) Lesperance passed away on September 15th 2016 at the age of 69. She was born on December 15, 1947 to Glenn & Irene Knopp in Cowen, West Virginia .
Martha graduated from T.L Handy in 1966. She was a member of the Woman of the Moose in Bay City, MI. She enjoyed laughing, making everyone smile & living life to the fullest! She was an active member in her community at the Boys & Girls Club of Bay City, MI. She fought the city to make all sidewalks handicap accessible throughout town. She was also a member of the I-Can for neighborhood watch in the downtown area on Midland St. in Bay City. She organized with the city of Bay City to have the Veterans Memorial in Vets Park with all entrances opened to the park.
She is survived by her daughter Tammy Lesperance-Lamb (Ray Lamb son in-law) her sister Barbara Dowdy (Don Dowdy deceased) her sister Angela Radlinski (Paul Radlinski) sister in-law Judy Knopp (Glenn E. Knopp Jr. deceased) many nephews & nieces, great nephews & great nieces. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 29 years Donald L. Lesperance, her brother Glenn E. Knopp Jr. (Skip) her sister Martha Mary Knopp, and many Aunt’s, Uncle’s, and Grandparents.
The funeral will be held on September 27, 2016 at Hyatt-Ewald Funeral Home with Ted Szilagyi officiating the service. In lieu of flowers those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider donating to Brian’s House of Bay City with Martha’s wishes to help others live life to the end beautifully.
