Roy E. Bruzewski, 85 Our beloved father and grandfather passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at McLaren-Bay Region, age 85. He was born on September 19, 1935 to the late Edward and Wanda (Dominowski) Bruzewski in Bay City, Michigan. Roy attended T.L. Handy High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Roy retired from RWC, Inc., after 44 years where he worked as a Service Engineer for the Test Department. Roy was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed gardening, wine making, bowling, and bird and squirrel watching.
Roy is survived by five children: Cindy Appold and her husband Michael, Gregory Bruzewski, Darrel Bruzewski, Cheryl Bruzewski, and Kimberly Bruzewski, and their mother Carolyn Bruzewski; five grandchildren; a niece and four nephews. Besides his parents, Roy was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Joanne and John “Jack” Boyle, and his sister Rosemary Mitas.
Roy’s children would like to express a special thank you to the McLaren nurses, caregivers, and support staff, Dr. Ali and Matt Zamora PA-C, and other doctors for the compassionate care they gave to our father during the final days of his life.
At the request of Roy, cremation has taken place. Committal and inurnment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Fr. Robert Kelm will officiate.
