Wendy Evelyn (Weaver) Peterson, age 67, of Ramah, New Mexico, died Friday, July 17, 2020. Wendy was born November 23, 1952 in Bay City, Michigan to Eleanore (Smith) Weaver and Ronald Weaver. She grew up in Bay City, graduated from T.L. Handy High School in 1970, and spent most of her life in the Bay City area working and raising a family. For many years she was the co-owner of the Touch of Mexico restaurant with her ex-husband, Conrad Carmona Sr. In 2005 Wendy married Paul Peterson. Together they owned and operated Simple Miracles Pizza in downtown Detroit. In 2007 they moved their business to Harrisville, Michigan, on the shores of Lake Huron.
In 2015 Wendy and Paul moved to New Mexico to live the homestead life. There she enjoyed daily hikes with her dogs, and collecting nature’s treasures. She was a talented painter, and she also enjoyed crafting and sewing. In addition to her parents Wendy was predeceased by a brother, Patrick Cleary. She is survived by her husband Paul; her sister Judith Gobeski; her brother Ron Weaver; her four children, Conrad Carmona Jr., Toni Curtis, Isaac Carmona, and Gabriel Carmona; and four granddaughters whom she adored, Serena, Sammy, Ryan, and Sylvia. Wendy was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
