Greetings Handy High School Alumni!
The alumni committee met recently and we’d like to share some information with all of you. First of all, we will not be having the alumni football game this year or give out the Distinguished Alumni award (due to lack of interest/nominations).
We do plan to do so again in the future as part of a variety of activities that we would like to offer:
- Handy alumni tailgate party at the Central vs. Western football game Friday, Oct. 21 with reception beginning at halftime at a local establishment (to be identified at a later date).
- Meeting at Handy to form committees to plan and oversee various alumni activities.
- Work on maintaining the Handy alumni hallway at Handy Middle School.
- Handy alumni golf scramble in the spring in honor of George (Stevenson) and Ron (Hughes).
- Continuation of Handy alumni football game.
- Formation of scholarships provided by Handy alumni fund.
