Rademacher and Jerry Grant have a T.L. Handy history. They were part of the Handy faculty, part of the Handy football staff and part of the Handy family.
“The Monday after our first win as a staff (in 1973), the coaches stayed out on the field working with the kickers after practice. And when we got back to the fieldhouse, it was completely dark,” Rademacher recalled. “All of a sudden, the lights popped on and all the kids were standing there with a ball they all signed. ‘Handy beats Midland, 26-14.’
