Handy grad receives Soldier’s Medal for saving women from drowning

Twenty-one years in the U.S. Army have conditioned Anthony Banaszak to instinctively work well under pressure.
Those ingrained instincts fueled Banaszak, 40, to perform an act of heroism worthy of the Soldier’s Medal last month. The award is given to members of the U.S. Army who exhibit heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy.
