Donna Lee (Luptowski) Johnson, Saginaw, Michigan passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016, at Covenant Medical Center at the age of 82 years.
The daughter of the late Alec and Florence Luptowski was born August 27, 1934 in Bay City, Michigan. She was a 1952 graduate of Bay City Handy High School and received her Bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University in teaching. She married the love of her life, Marvin L. Johnson on December 3, 1955. He passed away May 5, 2004. Donna taught in the Swan Valley School District. She retired in 1995 with over 30 years of service where she was also head of the Drama Department. She was a member of the Saginaw Culture Club, serving as Parliamentarian. She was a member of the Swan Valley Alumni Club and the Retired Teachers Assoc. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson had been employed by Sunquist Travel Agency and later, Donna worked for Grand Voyages Travel agency. Donna enjoyed traveling, as she was planning her 80th cruise. Donna was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed golfing and numerous other social events.
Surviving are two sons, Richard Johnson and his wife, Janell; Matt Johnson; four grandchildren,
Erica (Corey) Humbert; Alexandra Johnson; Cole Johnson; Jacob Odekirk; two great grandchildren, Callie and Blake Humbert; special longtime family friend, John Cuthberson.
In accordance with Donna’s wishes, cremation had taken place. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday September 23, 2016, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Friends may visit with family from 2:00 p.m. Friday until the time of the memorial service.
