James D. “Jim” Robison, 56, Daytona Beach, Florida Formerly of Bay City James “Jim” Robison passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from a heart attack. Age 56 years. Jim was born on December 22, 1958 in Bay City, Michigan. He attended TL Handy High School where he excelled in Football, Baseball and Wrestling. Jim received his BS in Engineering from the University of Michigan and a MBA from the University of Dallas. Jim was the owner and lead auditor of Quality Management Exchange, a quality auditing and compliance company for over 20 years. Jim was a member of the University of Michigan Alumni Association, Alpha Tau Omega (ATO) Fraternity, ISO/TS16946, ISO Automotive Auditors, NQA, USA Consultant Relations. Jim enjoyed University of Michigan Sports, the ATO Fraternity, spending time with friends and family especially his nephews at Christmas, Travel, Cruises and any U of M event. Jim was forever a Michigan Wolverine and a devoted ATO member. Even after living in Florida 20 years he always returned to his home state of Michigan to cheer on the Wolverines. Jim and his wife Amy would spend weeks together in Hawaii on a yearly basis. We will miss his smiling face, assortment of Hawaiian shirts and “GO Blue” at the end of every conversation.
Jim is survived by his wife of thirty years Amy (Miller) Robison; mother, Margaret Robison, Siblings Jennifer and Leon Wieland, Rick and Jane Robison, Meg and Paul Smith; several nieces and nephews, Dorothy and Dick Miller, Kathy and Mike Maris, Cindy and Tim Walker and Jeff Miller. Jim was preceded in death by his father Frank Robison. At the request of Jim, cremation has taken place. A memorial service is being planned for a later date. www.gephartfuneralhome.com
