Michael Edmund Janowicz, Oscoda, Michigan Formerly of Bay City, MI Michael passed away October 29th at his home in Oscoda. Age 44 years. The son of Tom and Jan Janowicz was born on October 2, 1971 in Bay City.
He graduated from TL Handy High School in 1990 and joined the US Army serving his country with honor for many years. His distinguished service included Operation Joint Endeavor in Bosnia and many years stationed in Germany. After leaving the service at the rank of Sergeant, he settled in Oscoda area where he enjoyed hunting, Cedar Lake and the great outdoors, his family, and his friends. He was an active member in the American Legion Post 274, a life member of Oscoda VFW 3735, and a member of the Eagles 4237. He is survived by his daughter, Tyanna Janowicz, his parents Tom and Jan Janowicz; his three brothers and their spouses, Brian Janowicz, Kevin and Sarah Janowicz, and Drs. Jeffrey and Erin Janowicz; his nephews Ryan and Jack, and nieces Sarah and Kate; and his good friends, Matthew, Jordan, and Hannah Kovachevich and his extended Oscoda family.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place Saturday, November 14th at 11:00 am at St. Hedwig Church in Bay City. The family will receive family and friends at 10:00 am.
