Ronald P. Jeske, 63, passed away peacefully Thursday January 15, 2015 at McLaren-Bay surrounded by his family and close friends.
Ronald was born in Bay City to the late Anthony & Theresa (Satkowiak) Jeske on May 1, 1951. He married the former Diane Stevens on September 16, 1972 at St. Maria Goretti Church, she survives him. Ron was a graduate of T. L. Handy High School Class of 1969 and served his country as a medic in the U.S. Army. He was employed at GM Powertrain of Bay City for 45 years and leaves many close friends from the shop. Ronald also severed as an EMT and firefighter for 30 years on the Kawkawlin Twp. Fire Department. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diane, their children Bonnie Casey-Jeske, Candice(Jeremy) Kukla and Anthony Jeske; three grandchildren Allie Casey, Kami Jo Kukla and Noah Kukla; three sisters Lillian Reno, Darlene (Donald) Cianek and Patricia Bruzewski; sister in laws Silvia Sullivan and Jeneva Lozen and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Ron was preceded in death by a daughter Ann Marie Jeske, brother & sister in law Floyd (Noreen) Jeske, Father & Mother in law Perry (Eva) Stevens along with many sister and brother in laws, aunts, uncles and close family & friends.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM Monday January 19, 2015 from St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Maria Goretti Church. Rev. Fr. John Sarge and Sr. Virginia Scally SNDdeN will officiate over the funeral rite. Committal and Military Honors will be held at Calvary Cemetery. A Firefighters Memorial Service will be held Sunday evening at 7 pm at the funeral chapel. Family will greet friends at the RIVERTOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL on Sunday from 12 noon to 8 PM. On Monday Ron will lie in state at the church from 1 PM until time of services.
