Patrick Campau passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 after a lengthy battle with cancer, age 65. He was born May 9, 1955 in Bay City to the late Arthur Lowell and Peggy (Marsh) Campau. After graduating from T.L. Handy High School he then joined the US Army, where he was a sharpshooter. Patrick married the love of his life and best friend Mary Kay Densmore in Bay City on February 11, 1977 and she survives him. He owned and operated Campau Maintenance and Repair for several years and was very devoted to his catholic faith. He loved sports, animals, feeding the birds every day, golf, his cat Milo and most importantly spending time with his beloved family. Patrick enjoyed the Bay City Fireworks and helped his son John every year set-up the display for everyone to enjoy.
Patrick is survived by his wife Mary, one daughter Jennifer Campau-Anderson (Blaine), one son John Campau, five beautiful grandchildren: Blaine and Harmony Archambeau, Alexander and Josie Campau and Cecilia Anderson, many siblings: Kay Campau-Shull, Mike (Pam) Campau, Mary Ellen Smith, Cheryl (Fred) Johnson, Lynn (Walter) Kopec, Billy (Renee) Kosecki, Joanne (Karl) Hamlet, Gerrianne Lincoln, Janice (Gary) Rajewski and April (Jody) Webb, step-father Jerry Kosecki, special nephew Jimmy Sczomak and many other nieces and nephews. Patrick was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Peggy, his step-mother Audrey Campau and one brother-in-law Rick Lincoln.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church, 1008 S. Wenona, Bay City, MI 48706. Fr. Robert Kelm will celebrate Mass. Family and friends will gather at the church only on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Those who plan on attending the visitation or Mass must wear a face covering at all times and be respectful of social distancing.
