Reinke, Carole R. “Reetz” (Forgash) Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Carole Rita “Reetz” Reinke, of Bay City, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, age 71. The daughter of the late Anthony Joseph and Eleanor June (Beckley) Forgash, she was born on April 19, 1945 in Bay City. Carole graduated from T.L. Handy High School in 1963. She was a longtime member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, now St. Catherine of Siena Parish and its Choir. Carole retired in 2014 from Region 7 Area Agency on Aging. Carole’s passion were her roses and in 2012 she was awarded the Bay City in Bloom Residential Winner. She was a member of the Northeastern Michigan Rosarians and the Red Hat Society. She also enjoyed Antique Roadshow and playing bridge.
Carole is survived by three children, Jill (Edward) Rinke of Springboro, Ohio and their children, Nate (great-grandchild on the way) and Ian, Stephen (Jennifer) Reinke of Higgins Lake and their children, Tyler, Kyrsten, Sam and Spencer, Amy (A.G.) Fath of Bay City and their children, Jake and Ryan; her brother, Tony (Ruth) Forgash of Bay City; her sister, Kathy (Don) Bach of Bay City; many brothers and sisters-in-law from the Reinke Family; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, Carole was also preceded in death by an infant son, A.J. Reinke; and her former husband, Gary Reinke. It was Carole’s desire for cremation to take place.
A Memorial Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at St. Catherine of Siena Parish. Rev. Fr. John S. Sarge and Sr. Virginia Scally, SNDdeN will officiate over the memorial rites. The family will greet friends at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
