Conrad Carmona Sr., a beloved pillar of the Bay City community, departed this world on Sunday, December 12, 2021, surrounded by his loving children at Mid-Michigan Medical Center. He graced this world on April 22, 1952, as the cherished son of Jesse and Consuelo Carmona in Bay City, Michigan.
Conrad’s journey through life was marked by an unwavering spirit and an indomitable love for his family, faith, and community. A graduate of T.L. Handy High School in 1970, Conrad’s legacy extended far beyond the classroom walls. For over three decades, he poured his heart and soul into the Touch of Mexico restaurant, where he not only served delicious cuisine but also created a warm and welcoming space for all who entered.
A man of deep faith, Conrad’s love for the Lord was evident in every aspect of his life. His devotion inspired those around him and left an enduring impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Conrad’s passions were as diverse as they were vibrant. From his cherished muscle cars to the melodies of concerts and car shows across the state, he found joy in every moment. Yet, above all else, Conrad found his greatest joy in the love and laughter of his family. He reveled in watching his granddaughters, Serena, Samantha, and Ryan, excel in their sports and shine in their violin concerts.
Conrad’s memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his four children, Conrad Jr. (T.L. Handy 1990 Graduate), Toni, Isaac, and Gabriel, as well as his adoring mother, Consuelo. He is also survived by his seven beloved siblings, Theresa, Christina, Delores, Marcella, Yolanda, Richard, and Robert, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Conrad Carmona’s life was intricately woven with love and shared experiences, including his marriage to Wendy Weaver, a cherished companion and the mother of his beloved children. Both Conrad and Wendy were proud graduates of the T.L. Handy High School Class of 1970, their alma mater serving as the backdrop for countless memories and lifelong connections. Together, they navigated the joys and challenges of parenthood, leaving an indelible mark on their family’s legacy. Though their paths may have diverged, their shared journey remains a testament to enduring love and unwavering commitment.
Conrad was reunited in eternal peace with his father, Jesse, and four siblings, Jesse Jr., Arturo, Patricia, and Anita, who preceded him in death.
As we bid farewell to Conrad, let us celebrate the remarkable legacy of love, faith, and joy that he leaves behind. Though he may be gone from our sight, his spirit will forever guide us, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
Rest in peace, dear Conrad. Your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forevermore.
